Q. Will you fix my computer?  I'll pay you!
A. No, probably not, sorry!  At this point, I need the time more than the money and I get stuck doing pro bono work for my friends.  Unless we're talking about multiple hundreds or thousands of dollars, of course -- it's not like I can't be bought if you're willing to overpay!  :-)   

Q. Why no Mac tips?
A. < 5% market share.

Q. What's the diff between an external hard drive and a portable external hard drive?
A. External hard drives are powered from a wall outlet; portable hard drives are powered via the computer connection, are slower and generally have a lower capacity.  Unless you're using the drive w/ a laptop on the road (i.e. on battery power), I can't think of a reason to buy a slower, lower capacity drive.
